Polyexcel: Sustainable Innovation with the POLYGREEN™ line of polymeric compounds for wire and cables.

In the current industrial scenario, where sustainability is an urgent priority, Polyexcel, with more than a decade of experience in the production of polymeric compounds for Energy and Telecommunications wires and cables, stands out for offering high-performance solutions and for integrating sustainable practices in all aspects of its operations. This commitment reflects a strong environmental responsibility that the company assumes in the face of contemporary challenges.

With more than 10 years of expertise in the market, Polyexcel not only complies with environmental regulations and policies, but stands out in the production of polymeric compounds for Energy and Telecommunications wires and cables with high-tech, reliable and sustainable products.

One of its ecofriendly initiatives is the POLYGREEN™ line: a family of products that uses green polyethylene from sugarcane ethanol, supplied by the Brazilian Petrochemical Braskem. Green polyethylene is recognized for its I’m green™ technology, a sustainable raw material used worldwide to reduce the carbon footprint of products.

The POLYGREEN™ line includes products specially developed for application in Energy and Telecommunications cables, such as Thermoset Polyethylene (XLPE) and Halogen-Free Compound (HFFR). In the case of thermoset polyethylene (XLPE), this ecofriendly solution demonstrates proven performance in multiplexed cables and covered cables, from low voltage to 35kV. Even using green polyethylene in its formulation, there are no considerable changes in the physical and processing characteristics during the manufacture of the cables, as it is a drop-in solution.

All products in the POLYGREEN™ family are certified according to the international standard NIST 4990C, which provides for the performance of the C14 carbon dating analysis, carried out by the American laboratory Beta Analytic™. This certification proves and quantifies the percentage of carbon of plant origin (biobased carbon) compared to the percentage of carbon of fossil origin (fossil carbon). All products in the POLYGREEN™ family have at least 30% plant-based carbon, allowing it to reduce the carbon footprint and be classified as a carbon neutral product.

POLYEXCEL positions itself as an essential partner for its customers, helping them to meet the world’s environmental challenges with excellent quality and low-carbon products. To learn more about POLYEXCEL’s complete solution, visit: polyexcel.com.br.
